“Create your own strike force!” with G.I. Joe in 1982
This 1982 G.I. Joe ad isn’t the only bit of toy fun out of the November 25, 1982, Lakeland Ledger newspaper. Last year we looked at another G.I. Joe advertisement from the same issue, and last week I shared a Kenner Star Wars ad from the same newspaper. That’s just how it was when we were kids, gang. Newspapers were loaded with so many awesome toy ads that we didn’t know which toys we wanted most.
Newspapers today are useless scraps of paper when compared to the newspapers of the past.
