1991 Dungeons & Dragons Trading Cards
Do you remember that time when TSR published Dungeons & Dragons trading cards (Amazon.com search*)? Well, if you have forgotten that then I’m here to help with this ad from the final issue of TSR’s Buck Rogers comic book. Buck Rogers comic from TSR in 1991? Yeah, but that’s a discussion for another day.
I remember grabbing some of these back when they were new, and if I remember right there was an issue of Dragon magazine that included some uncut sheets that were intended to be removed from the magazine and chopped down. Does anyone else remember those, or am I imagining the entire thing?

Oh man, the typography in that ad is SUCH a product of it’s time. Taking me right back in the Mac lab in my Intro to Graphic Design class in college. It’s TOO MUCH NOSTALGIA!
I would love to track some of these down — love that 1980s and 1990s DnD art.
I loved the cards. Great collectibles with useful 2nd edition AD&D info on the back. A lot of fascinating characters were introduced in that set.
