1984 Secret Wars Ad from Mattel
If there’s one thing that’s always fun about flipping through old comic books it’s the ads, and today’s ad is three decades old! Mattel’s Marvel Super Heroes: Secret Wars action figure line has never — as far as I can tell — been properly documented in a book, so the best we can do is enjoy old advertisements and search the web for info on the line.
Toymania has a Secret Wars section, but this doesn’t cover things well enough for my tastes; I want a book! Isn’t someone out there working on exactly this book in celebration of the line’s thirtieth anniversary? Please?

Wow, awesome blast from the past. I think I had Kang from Series I, but most of Series II. I remember those decoder shields and how fantastic the Hobgoblin figure was.
